Welcome to the Southern Bloggers Conference Blog!

This is where you'll find out everything you need to know related to the Southern Bloggers Conference.  The conference begins on Friday, October 12th at the Embassy Suites Hotel located directly across the street from the Crabtree Valley Mall in Raleigh, NC.

We have lots of information to send your way between now and the start of the conference.  We'll start off by sharing the conference itinerary with you.  A few of the details are still coming together, but we'll make sure to update you as things are finalized.

Friday, Oct. 12 
3 pm – Conference registration and hotel check-in begins

Time TBD: Organizing DIY Style at The Container Store, 4601 Creedmoor Road, Raleigh

Learn handy tips for organizing your pantry, your craft room, your closet and every nook of your home with the experts at The Container Store

     *Be sure to show up for this special optional session for your chance to win prizes

5:30-7:30 pm – Meet-and-greet cocktail party in the hotel atrium

5:30-7:30 pm – Voting for the Fall Décor contest.  All items will be on display in the Romanesque Room at the hotel.        

Saturday, Oct. 13

7-8:15 am – Complimentary breakfast in the hotel atrium

8:15-8:30 am – Welcome

8:30-9:30 am – Why I Love Blogging with Rhoda Vickers of Southern Hospitality

9:30-10 am– Coffee and snack break

10-11:30 am  – Panel discussion: Writing and Organizing Your Blog and Managing Your Social Networking.  Update:  Speakers will be KariAnne of Thistlewood Farms and Heather of At the Picket Fence

11:30 am-1 pm - Buffet lunch served in the hotel atrium

1:00-2:30 pm – Furniture facelifts: Chalk paint and beyond with Annie Omar, founder of Maison Blanche Paint Company, and blogger Kristen Dobson of Sophia’s Décor

2:30-3 pm – Coffee and snack break

3-4 pm – Surprise session

4-5 pm – Question & Answer Session, Wrap-up and Giveaways

 Thrifting Day – Thrift shopping around the Triangle - please make sure you let us know if you will be participating so that you can be placed with a driver
